Thailand's Ancient Rainforest

Khao Sok

About The Region

Khao Sok at a Glance

Khao Sok National Park protects one of the oldest rainforests in the world, older than the Amazon. Towering limestone cliffs rise over the jungle and the emerald waters of Cheow Lan Lake, and it's easily reached from Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi or Koh Samui — making it a natural jungle add-on to a beach-based Thailand itinerary.

This is a different pace of holiday entirely: rainforest treks, wildlife spotting and floating accommodation on the lake, rather than beach loungers.
